Personal Bio

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. At UW-Madison, my Psychology thesis was on how infants learned new words. After graduating, I worked at Harvard, studying language processing in children with autism. Currently, I work in the Princeton Baby Lab. When I’m not in lab, I enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures with my family.

Fun Fact

I like to unwind by watching nature documentaries - especially those narrated by David Attenborough.

Research Pitch

My research investigates prediction, language processing, and learning: Given the complexity of language, how do we finish each other’s… sandwiches? (And what happens when our predictions are wrong?) Methodologically, I use eye-tracking and fNIRS to collect behavioral and neural data with infants, children, and adults.
