Personal Bio

I grew up outside of NYC and discovered my love for physics in college. I started research then and have continued studying black holes into the present! I'm passionate about physics, roller coasters, and good food. Six flags is my favorite local attraction.

Fun Fact

I love roller coasters.

Research Pitch

I'm in the physics department and currently am working on two projects related to black holes. In the first project, I'm looking at supermassive astrophysical black holes and the jets that they produce. Specifically, we're working on how to measure black hole spin from polarized images of the jet. For my second project, we're looking at the mathematical evolution of extremal black holes - a kind of black hole that has lots of angular momentum or lots of charge. We want to understand what happens as extremality is approached.
