Personal Bio

I am a post-doc at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science (International Relations) from McGill University in the Fall of 2023. My research interests lie in the international political economy of trade, global value chains, and investment. My hometown is Ottawa, Canada. For my undergraduate degree, I studied International Economics and wrote my thesis on the role of the USA as a major economic power in the global economy in the second half of the 20th century. I conducted fieldwork for my master's studies, which focused on the UNDP, and for my doctoral degree, I employed statistical methods, particularly causal inference methods. I love Princeton's campus, its sublime atmosphere in the evenings, and its trees. I enjoy cooking, as the process is calming. I also love going for long walks while listening to podcasts on trade, economics, and geopolitics. I have served as a teaching assistant for many courses and have taught two courses at McGill University. I very much miss teaching and interacting with students.

Fun Fact

I briefly lived in Geneva last year. After Ottawa, it is my favorite city, and I hope to visit it again soon. I love to travel. While in a new city, I try to walk through the local residential areas and markets. It is the best way to understand the local "vibes" in a short amount of time.

Research Pitch

I am working at the intersection of politics, economics, and business, which is known as international political economy. Before coming to Princeton, I worked as a research fellow at a business school in the UK. My research seeks to understand how trade between countries can aid in their development. Additionally, I am interested in exploring how investment and trade impact climate change.
