Personal Bio

I come from Russia and I did my education in the Netherlands and Germany before I landed in the US. I am a postdoctoral research in Princeton Neuroscience Institute now and I love hanging out with friends, having cosy dinners and traveling.

Fun Fact

I have a cat named Pumpkin and she loves making biscuits on my back.

Research Pitch

I am researching the brain mechanisms of short-term memory, in particular how we can control what to remember and what to forget. I train monkeys to do memory tasks and record electrophysiological data from them. In the data I record, I look at how neurons code what I show to my monkeys on the screen and how these neurons communicate with each other passing on the bits of information important for the memory task.
